Q: Could you tell us a little about yourself and where you are based?
My name is Mayowa Oyeniran. I am a graduate of Computer Engineering and currently reside in Magboro, Ogun State.
Q: Could you outline your educational background in IT or related fields? Do you come from a technical background? If No, what did you study? How did you learn about tech?
"Yes, I am from a technical background. I hold a degree in Computer Engineering, which provided a strong foundation in both hardware and software systems. My academic training covered areas such as digital systems, computer architecture, programming, networking, and embedded systems. My interest in technology deepened during university, where I engaged in practical projects and self-learning beyond the curriculum. I explored areas like web development, software engineering, and IT infrastructure, which eventually shaped my current path in tech. Since graduation, I’ve continued to build on this foundation through hands-on experience, internships, and personal projects

Q: What motivated you to pick up a career in tech?
My motivation to pursue a career in tech came from a combination of curiosity, creativity, and a desire to solve real-world problems.
Q: How has the journey been so far?
The journey has been both challenging and rewarding. Starting out, there was a steep learning curve most especially transitioning from academic theory to real-world application. But every challenge has helped me grow stronger. I’ve gained hands-on experience through projects, internships, and team collaborations that pushed me to think critically, adapt quickly, and stay curious.
Q:What was your training experience with Vnicom Tech Hub like?
"My training experience at Vnicom Tech Hub was both intensive and transformative. It provided a solid practical foundation in key areas of software development and exposed me to real-world projects that sharpened my problem-solving and technical skills. It helped emphasized hands-on learning, collaboration, and accountability which made the learning process very engaging and impactful. I particularly appreciated the mentorship and guidance from experienced instructors, as well as the focus on industry-relevant tools and best practices. We worked on real-life client projects, which helped me build confidence in writing clean code, managing timelines, and communicating effectively within a team. Overall, the experience at Vnicom Tech Hub played a major role in preparing me for the demands of the tech industry, and it continues to shape how I approach learning and growth as a developer."
Q: What Top Tech companies are you aiming to work with in the long run?
In the long run, I aim to work with top-tier tech companies that are known for innovation, impact, and strong engineering culture. such as Flutterwave, Paystack, Interswitch and the likes.
Q: What advice do you have for others that may be thinking of venturing into Tech?
Tech actually isn’t meant for only the genius or smart ones it just about being determined and getting the work done.
Q: What are your aspirations for your IT career in the future? Do you have any specific roles, projects or problems you want to solve?
my aspiration is just to keep working and never to relent on what i do.. In the short term, I’m focused on deepening my skills in software engineering, particularly in frontend development and see where it leads me too as time goes on.
Q: If you could offer one piece of advice to someone starting his/her journey in IT, what would it be, based on your experiences so far?
Determination and Hardwork pays a lot.

I will still into Tech so far as it hasn’t gone into extinction

Yes i have, and currently i am an Application Developer and i work In a Bank.
